The five Focus sections ensure greater representation: Shoot No Matter What promotes new talent and self-production, 100% Regions celebrates filmmakers from the periphery, Short & Queer explores sexual and gender diversity and Americana showcases Latin American productions. New this year, the Indigenous Perspectives competition will shine the spotlight on Indigenous life. The Focus jury will be responsible for selecting a winner from each of the five sections, and an Audience Award will go to festivalgoers’ top pick. The prizes include a total of $50,000 in cash and professional services.
