Synopsis

Dense atmosphere of change and union strikes in Porto’s harbor. Clara, owner of a fishermen’s bar threatened by closure, finds in the arms of Raquel, waitress on cruise ships, the only shelter to express her fears and contradictions.

  • Mariana Bártolo

    Mariana Bártolo lives between Germany and Portugal. A filmmaker, performer, and multimedia artist, she studied at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and graduated from the Escola Superior de Dança in Lisbon, in 2008. Her recent films Mansa (2021) and Whale Beards (2021) opened in international festivals such as Palm Springs Shortfest, Oberhausen, IndieLisboa, Osnabrück and Max Opüls Preis.

  • Guillermo García López

    Guillermo García López is a filmmaker born in Madrid, Spain. His first work, Frágil Equilibrio, won the Goya Award for Best Documentary Feature after its premiere at IDFA. In 2023, he premiered two short films at Cannes: As gaivotas cortam o céu at the Quinzaine des cinéastes, and Aunque es de Noche in the Official Selection, nominated for the Palme d’Or.
