Synopsis

After a late-night high school graduation party, Chantal and Delphine find themselves walking home alone in the dark. Lost in the forest, their long night walk is punctuated by carelessness and an irrepressible desire to exist.

    Katerine Martineau is a Montreal-based screenwriter and a director who grew up in the Outaouais region. Waiting for Lou (2017), her graduation film, won Canada’s Top Ten Best Live Action Student Short of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in January 2018. Girls Shoudn’t Walk Alone at Night is her first movie since graduating and her third collaboration with actress Amaryllis Tremblay.
