New at REGARD, 100% Régions has a lot in common with its predecessor, 100% Saguenay, which gave us 10 great years of discovery and local pride. But time marches on. In the wake of the manifesto published in Séquences magazine, along with a growing chorus of voices from across Quebec, we felt it was time to officially commit to representing more of our regions on screen.

This program is a goldmine of talent that needs to be seen and heard. This year we present works from Saguenay–Lac-St-Jean, the Quebec City region, Montérégie, Trois-Rivières, and, with Saratoga, a province-wide tour.

You’ll be charmed by Bruno, a retired boxer who rallies his village by stepping back into the ring for an epic fight. Join Chantal et Delphine for a post-party walk home, and let Saratoga and their sublime music give you the urge to hit the road for the summer. An animation by and for every SHE in the world. A father who makes one bad choice after another, but still follows his dream of becoming a comedian. Three friends who have a “job” to do after a fluke accident.

We will showcase these regional talents with the intense pride of a festival far from the big city, reaffirm our love for our Saguenay home, and show solidarity with the artists and professionals who make movies far from the usual places. A promising new competition that will bring some brilliant colours to your screen!
