Synopsis

What seems to be a burgeoning romance between two Indigenous people takes a sinister turn as one grows suspicious of the other. When confronted, deceit turns their romantic evening into a darkly comedic nightmare.

    ishkwaazhe Shane McSauby, an enrolled member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, is an acclaimed filmmaker from Grand Rapids, Michigan. A former Sundance Fellow with an MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, his films, including Happy Thanksgiving and The Beguiling (premiered at TIFF and SXSW), have screened globally in tribal communities, museums, and top festivals.
