Synopsis

Kyabakura is a type of hostess club in Japan, inspired by French cabaret. There exists an ambiguous relationship between the clients, the men, and the hostesses, that should never materialize into a sexual relationship...There are strict rules, which of course, are designed to be broken.

  • Momoko Seto

    Momoko Seto was born in 1980 in Tokyo, Japan. She lived and studied in Marseille. In addition to making short films and documentaries, she has produced hybrid films that mix different genres creating a poetic and singular universe. Her achievements have been rewarded in several international festivals. She received the Audi Short Film Award at 65th Berlinale.
