Nancy Pettinicchio is an emerging filmmaker based in Montreal. Falena is her first short film as a writer and director. Her works stem from the recognition of an issue that affects her personally, but for which she lacks answers — representation of women in media, mental and physical health within the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and the inaccessibility of adequate sex education are a few good examples.
