Synopsis

In the near future, when getting an abortion has once again become a criminal offense, Kara (35 years old) is confronted by a grim and brutal reality. Even though obvious dangers are at play, she seeks out the services of an illegal mobile abortion clinic. When she’s inside the meanders of this morbid clinic, she is confronted with the consequences of her painful decision. Not only are her life and freedom in danger, but Kara is unprepared to face the emotional repercussions that her decision will have on her and those around her.

    At 19 years-old, Marianne Farley start his career as a singer. Since 1997, it’s as an actress she was noticed. Perfectly bilingual, she appears in various shows (Les Invincibles, Nos étés, The Dead Zone, Le Gentleman, Mémoires Vives, This Life, Heroes Reborn and 19-2) and films (La Peau blanche, Uvanga, La chute de Sparte). With a great passion for cinema, Marianne also has five short films under her belt as producer, including Mon cher robert. She also took part of Les nôtres, coproduced with Benoît Beaulieu in 2019 (Directed by Jeanne Leblanc). Determined to go further with her artistic creativity, she directed her first short film in 2014 Saccage, Marguerite in 2017 (nominated at the Oscars in 2019 for Best Live Action Short) and Frimas in 2020 (produced by Ô Films). Since then, Marianne founded the company SLYKID & SKYKID, with her partner Benoît Beaulieu, and developed several movie projects, like La fauche (scripted by Camille Trudel) and Au nord d’Albany (coscripted with Claude Brie), the filming occurred in autumn of 2020.
