John Canciani (Italian/British/Swiss) is the Artistic Director of Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur and film collector since Teenager. He joined Kurz und Knapp in 2006 as Head of Programme until 2012 and was board member. In 2009 he became member of the selection team and Board Member at the Swiss Youth Film Festival in Zürich. John was a film journalist and critic at Radio Stadtfilter. In 2009 he became Team member of the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur In 2012 he was assigned as artistic director of the Festival. John became 2013 film curator at Cinema Filmfoyer Winterthur, which is now the Kino Cameo. He has a Master in Advanced Studies in Curating ZHdK and was Editor of the IssueNo.23 of the magazine on-curating "The Future of Short Film". He is Member of the Swiss and European Film Academy, Board Member at Pro Short and the Short Film Conference.
