Synopsis

For Ian Golovin, the death of his father is the chance at a new life outside his native country. As he prepares to leave and bid farewell to his sister, he is forced to face his decision — why he is always blindly moving forward and what he is leaving behind.

    Born in Montreal, Mathieu Grimard studied art history before his studies in scriptwriting. Mathieu has produced more than 40 music videos and around 100 advertising campaigns. His most recent film, Goodbye Golovin, explores the life, exile and loss of belonging of a young migrant from Eastern Europe.
