#MeToo

The #MeToo movement is still vital. It energized us, and revealed our urgent need to speak out.

This program is an artistic extension of the phenomenon. It’s as if we wanted to say that it isn’t all over. That #MeToo was more than one big wave on a shallow sea of media and internet culture, but a storm that is forcing an entire society to take a hard look at itself. It encourages us to see things realistically, but also with hope. And hope is found in unity, in change. Hope is a society that talks and listens. A society that rejects its denial.

These films bear witness to a certain trend, picking up from the wave of action and denunciation generated by the #MeToo phenomenon. Some have a structured formal approach, and others use a more exuberant aesthetic language. All share in the power and substance of the powerful message they are sending through this medium that we all love so much.

This screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the Cast & Crew attending.
