You “watch” films while blindfolded, with guidance from an unusual and astonishing audio description. Ultimately, you discover the writers’ intuitive inner world. Here’s what you can expect from the Blind Cinema experience!
Meet our four word-jugglers, who will have the honour of reinterpreting a selection of films from the festival program:
- Marie-Andrée Gill, writer and literature student: her writing runs from kitsch to existentialism, and brings together Québécois and Innu identities.
- Vanessa Bell, writer, columnist, curator, host, feminist activist: her work explores the concepts of intimacy and territory.
- Charles Sagalane, interdisciplinary writer, who enjoys sharing the poetry from his books. His mastery of poetry is driven by practices as diverse as foraging, meditation, museology and the art of collecting.
- Anick Martel, whose work takes plural forms, is a writer, performer, spoken-word artist, theatre artist and poet, born in a blizzard in Lac-Bouchette.
Please, be aware that the event is only accessible to a French-speaking audience.
