François Quévillon, an artist in residence at the
Bang contemporary art centre, presents an interactive talk in the Tempo. He will discuss his practice, which combines contemporary art, video and digital creation.
Who is François Quévillon?
François Quévillon is a Montreal-based interdisciplinary artist. His work, often developed during residencies, has been presented at several international exhibitions and events. A major solo show,
Manœuvrer l'incontrôlable, is now running until April 21, 2019 at the Expression exhibition centre in Saint-Hyacinthe.
His interdisciplinary artistic practice involves installations, sound, images and technology, touching on disciplines such as geomatics and artificial intelligence. His audio-visual, procedural and interactive devices explore material and perceptual phenomena through processes sensitive to changing environmental conditions and human interference. He develops systems with unstable parameters, compressed spatiotemporal structures and infinite iteration.
