Synopsis

Latitude : 50° 24’ 19.8 » N / Longitude : 72° 46’ 13.8 » W Originally from Russia, Ramis has lived in Quebec with his family for 8 years. The 55-year-old man found work as a brush cutter, a profession practiced by many Russian-speaking immigrants like him. At Camp Nokamik, he is welcomed for his first day of work, which promises a summer of hard work.

    Nicolas Lévesque is a photographer and filmmaker from Québec, Canada. After studying photography, arts and cinema, he directed the short documentary Lévesque et fils, maraîcher(s) (2008), who travelled to several festivals in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. His recent documentary, In guns we trust (2013), was selected in the Talent tout court category of the Cannes Film Festival, at the Toronto International Film Festival and at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Granted by the SODEC in 2014, he is writing his first documentary feature film.
