Synopsis

Night of the Living Dicks is a short black and white horror comedy about Venla, who’s fed up with getting dick pics on the Internet. She finds a pair of glasses that reveal which men are real dicks. But as the dick monsters realize Venla can see their true form, they chase her, and Venla must confront an explosive nightmare of genitals.

    Ilja Rautsi is a Finnish writer and director born in 1979, whose previous short horror comedy, Helsinki Mansplaining Massacre (2018), has played in over 100 festivals. The film has won 14 prizes, including best short at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and Australia’s Monster Fest as well as the Silver Méliès at San Sebastian. As a director, Ilja is also developing the feature horror comedy Red Snow for Bufo. As a screenwriter, he has two features out in 2021: Saara Saarela’s dystopian drama Memory of Water, which is based on Emmi Itäranta’s successful novel of the same name, and the original horror drama Hatching by Hanna Bergholm.
