Terra Velha is a visual and sonic study of disparate landscapes within the islands of the Azores. Through contemplative observation, elements within the landscapes gradually oscillate, notions of homeland and origin combine into an impressionistic memory, reaching all the way back through time to the moment of their volcanic birthing.

Andrew LimaCurrently based in Montréal, Andrew Lima has spent the last 14 years developing and directing moving image works in the milieus of short fiction and experimental documentary. A recent graduate of Concordia University’s Studio Arts MFA program, his current research and practice involves D.I.Y. approaches to re-photography and developing hybrid approaches to documentary.
