Synopsis

Special mention of the Jury Award

Edouard has been living in Port-au-Prince alone with his daughter Zara for five years. Since his wife left, he and his daughter have received only a cassette from her, and that was a long time ago. After years of absence, what can we expect from a distant love ?

    Samuel Suffren is a Haitian director and producer. He’s working on a short film trilogy. The first film, Agwe, was selected at Locarno and won the best diaspora film at FESPACO. Des rêves en bateaux papiers is the second one. Samuel Suffren is currently working on a feature documentary, Lòtbò, and his first fiction feature, Je m’appelle Nina Shakira.
