Synopsis

A completely hand-made historical micro-epic about the final minutes in the life of Winnipeg’s doomed Second World War hero, Andrew Mynarski. Mynarski Death Plummet is a psyche- delic photo-chemical war picture on the theme of self-sacrifice, immortality and jellyfish.

    Matthew Rankin was born in Winnipeg and studied Quebec history at McGill and Université Laval. In 2013, he was an artist-in-residence at the MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, and was awarded the National Media Arts Prize in 2014.
