Girls Power

Rebellious, amorous, intense, festive: here are seven women filmmakers’ perspectives on femininity. 27 recounts the psychedelic evening of Alice, who prefers to live in her dreams rather than everyday routine. Sisters challenges convention and follows the road to emancipation. Bodies are mobilized in revolt with Pleine nuit and Woman, where mobilization strategies take on a sense of solidarity. Remember, Broken Crayons Colour Too denounces violence and feminicide, while La Perra's drawings illustrate the complexity of being a daughter, a mother, a bitch and a woman. Obsessed over, accepted or torn, body image is a core concern in This is TMI, where a group of women discuss the size of their breasts, while the challenges and splendors of the vaginal experience are tackled with humor in Trois Vagins Qui Crient. A cinematic reappropriation of the body.
