Saguenay international
short film festival

Colour grading is a crucial step in cinematic postproduction, responsible for the majority of a finished film’s look. It’s a visual signature that these light-artists spend long hours and days working in the dark to perfect. Three colour grading experts will discuss their profession, from its challenges to its hidden possibilities. With independent colourist Vickie-Lynn Roy, Eric Denis of Studio Element in Quebec City, Martin Gaumont of Outpost studio and Steven Mercier from Post-Modern studio in Montreal, this vivid discussion will be moderated by Jessica Fortin-Simard, a professor at the École supérieure en Art et technologie des médias (ATM, for short).
