We are pleased to present this carte blanche program by Zubroffka Festival in Bialystok, Eastern Poland. This small city, where various nationalities coexist (Belarusians, Lithuanians, Ukrainians, Russians, Roma, Tartars, etc.), is the birthplace of Esperanto, an international language spoken in 120 countries around the world. Zubroffka describes itself as an open and unrestricted cinema gathering. The festival focuses on shorts from Europe and Eastern Europe as well as former Soviet republics. Zubroffka is therefore a breath of fresh air in terms of international cultural events in this 
decentralized region. This selection perfectly demonstrates the diversity and openness of this festival. The majority of selected films have travelled worldwide and garnered numerous awards.
