Synopsis

At 16 years old, Nina is helpless in regards to her 4-month-old baby Jessie's incessant crying. Without any escape from the cries and from this new presence is her life, she ventures out from her tiny apartment in a working-class neighbourhood of Montréal for a brief escapade.

    Graduated from INIS where she received the Excellence Scholarchip, Halima has first worked on documentaries. She then scripted short fictions including, La Barricade, which won several prices in many festivals. Nina is her first fiction film as a director.
