Les Soirées Intéressantes highlights the 10 years of Wapikoni Mobile surrounding a

screening-meeting with the filmmaker Yan Abel Chachai, Atikamekw of the Opitciwan

community. Addressing the theme of suicide in Aboriginal communities, Yan Abel offers to

share his perspective on this sensitive subject. The public will be invited to ask questions

about the place of young autochthones in Québec society of today.

Through training programs in music and audiovisual creation for First Nations communities in

Canada and abroad, Wapikoni allows young people to express themselves through images

and sound.
