all trades filmmaker with an inquisitive spirit, animated by his boundless adoration
for cinema that infuses most of his films.”
Producer, filmmaker, professor and film historian, Denys Desjardins has created several films and websites. He has contributed to the scripting and production of the Michel Brault and Pierre Perrault DVD boxed sets (NFB). Militant for the Spontaneous Movement for the Survival of the NFB (SMS-NFB), he is actively involved in maintaining and defending artistic institutions. He appears notably among the founding members of Québec Cinéma and Coalition Culture. Denys Desjardins is the designer and creator of the recently launched cinemaduquebec.com website.
