They set the newspaper presses in motion and exhale an honorable sigh of hope

over the entire artistic and cultural community. Although some scour the fringes of the

festival, new talent emerges, new projects take shape. Tonight, five new films begin their journey. Let us wish them a long life throughout the short film festivals and showcases.

Let us also celebrate the meeting of the literary and cinematographic circles, with

the collection Livres Vu from Éditions La Peuplade. From this inspirational series,

the filmmaker Nicolas Lévesque presents six short films produced from the works

published by La Peuplade. Every cinematographic tableau, being documentary,

atmospheric or experimental, infuses inspiration derived from the respective book,

preserving the essence and welcoming it to the journey.

The evening will begin with a cocktail for the Salut Loup! book launch by Saguenay

author Laurance Ouellet-Tremblay. The activities then continue in the screening room

with the presentation of the selected shorts and those of the book series Livres Vus,

two of which are new.
