Synopsis

An anonymous man goes to sleep in his bed, and in his dreams he travels disembodied around the world, leaving his apartment and even his city far behind. Kurogi’s animation shifts from one beautifully-rendered scene to the next, as a factory flows into a farm and then a battlefield before returning just as fluidly back to the man’s apartment. The bleakness of the cities and the destruction humans have wrought upon nature and themselves lend a dark undercurrent to the images, yet all is grounded in the gentle humor of the sleeping man’s journey.
